Bear Grylls has thrown his weight behind National Citizen Service, joining the likes of Alex Zane and Ben Collins in urging young people to sign up, as the programme for 16 and 17 year olds rolls out nationwide.

Offering three week placements which develop new skills whilst making a difference to the community, programme places are still available for this summer. Grylls said 'This incredible programme reaches out to young people in all communities around the country and offers the chance to learn great life and outdoor skills'.
